Bar 1661 Dublin

Dave Mulligan, inventor of Bán Poitn, has opened his first permanent bar called Bar 1661 Dublin. The focus of this establishment is on transforming Ireland’s most infamous spirit into some extremely stylish cocktails. The bar, which can be found at the upper level of Rotunda, features a combination of sleek leather furniture and rustic wood fasteners to create the atmosphere of an old-school boozer with some contemporary overtones.

The cocktail menu follows suit, including pimento d’ arran into a number of highly contemporary concoctions such as the Arran St. East, which also has coffee liqueur, and the Pantibar, which adds mezcal, lime, and rose to the mix. And if you’re looking for something a bit more refined, you can treat yourself to a potion sampling flight and experience some of the best examples of the spirit that the country has to offer from all around the country.
